Miscanthus
According to SPSC research, biochar produced from miscanthus stands out for its unique structure. During carbonization of this grass in SPSC equipment, a material with a highly developed internal surface — more than 200 m²/g — is formed. This porosity provides a high sorption capacity. Therefore, miscanthus biochar is often of interest as a product for filtration, soil improvement and carbon sequestration.
Miscanthus feedstock yields stable and uniform biochar with low ash and impurity content. This plant is fast-growing and renewable, which ensures predictable product quality in every processing cycle and makes it suitable for industrial and environmental applications.
